About Blackhills CSA
Our aims are:
- To supply produce to shareholders with weekly produce from our land & other local organic growers in the form of a community supported agriculture project
- To utilise & explore innovative agricultural techniques including; no-dig, organic, permaculture, regenerative agriculture & any other appropriate methods
- To boost biodiversity & soil vitality
- To create diverse opportunities for a range of people to engage in & learn about the natural world & food growing
- To provide volunteering & training opportunities in food growing
- To promote Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
- To work closely and link with other local organisations who work with similar aims
The benefits of buying local
Local food supports local economies. Food grown in the local community supports local jobs and encourages variety in our diets. It also requires less transportation, so it's fresher and has a smaller environmental footprint.
It is a movement I believe in with values that I respect, that connects People to an Environment of Amazing Food and Purpose.
